So you are using Windows OS and also you have a broadband connection? But everytime you turn on your pc you have to manually connect your broadband conenction? huh! Its boring neh! So today i will show you a little trick of how you can connect/dial your broadband connection automatically when you start your pc. In non-greek way , Broadband Connection should get connected at windows startup! Lets go!
Note: Before you progress further make sure you have your broadband credentials eg:username , password provided by your ISP.
Step 1: Click on Windows Start Button or Windows Search Button
Step 2: And now type Task Scheduler
And now click on Task Scheduler
A new Window will pop up look like this
Step 3 : Now click on Create a basic task…
Step 4: Now on the name input field type your desired name for this task (Name is not specific you can type any name you desire) and on the description input field shortly describe what this task actually do! (Again Description is not specific give a brief description whatever you want ) . See below picture for demo .
Now click on Next >
Step 5 : Now Choose When I Log On
Click on Next > again!
Step 6: Choose Start A Program if not checked yet (By default it is checked ) . Click Next > again.
Step 7 : ( The Main Part ) On the Program/Script field type ” rasdial ” . and in the Add a arguments field (optional) write down you broadband connection name followed by username and password like this , lets say your broadband name is “Broadband Connection” username is ” hello_broadband ” and password is ” demo_pass ” Note: you will get your usename and pass from your isp provider. If you dont know what your username and password is contact them.
So in the Add a arguments field( optional ) you have to type following texts >>>>
“Connection Name” <space> “Username” <space> “password” [ Note: “double quotes are mendatory”]
“Broadband Connection” “hello_broadband” “demo_pass” [replace with your isp provided info]
Now click next!
Step Last : Now check your credentials in the actions field . [ Start a program; rasdial “Broadband Connection” “hello_broadband” “demo_pass” ] this should be typed in the action field below
Warning: Recheck your broadband connection username and password twice!
Now click Finish and voila its done . Now everytime you start your pc your broadband connection should get connected automatically with a cmd popup!
